I Can Call

Download

Get it on your Android phone.

One file, straight from us. It isn't in the Play Store yet, so you'll install it yourself — it takes about two minutes, and the steps are below.

Download the app

Android 8.0 or newer · about 87 MB

Open this page on the phone itself — that's the easiest way. Or download it here and send the file to your phone.

iPhone

Not yet. Apple requires a different build and a paid developer account, and the app-locking feature needs a permission Apple grants case by case. We'd rather ship it properly than half-working.

Want to know when it's ready? Email hello@icancall.app with "iPhone" in the subject and we'll write once, when it exists.

Installing it

Tap the file after it downloads

Your browser will ask whether to keep it. Keep it. Then open it from the notification or from your Downloads folder.

Allow installs from your browser

Android asks once, the first time. Switch on "Allow from this source", then come back.

If Android says the app was blocked

That's Play Protect being cautious about apps from outside the Play Store. Tap More details, then Install anyway. If there's no such button, open Play Store → your profile picture → Play Protect → the gear icon → turn off "Scan apps with Play Protect", install, then switch it back on.

Open it and sign up

Email and password, or your Google account. A few questions about what you find hard, then your first call.

If you want app locking too

Call to Unlock keeps the apps you choose shut until you've done one practice call. Android treats that permission carefully, so it takes two extra taps:

  • Open Settings → Apps → I Can Call, tap the ⋮ menu, then Allow restricted settings.
  • Then in I Can Call, open Call to Unlock and follow the prompt to Accessibility settings.

The app only ever watches for the apps you picked, and you can turn it off at any time.

Updates

When there's a new version, download it from this page again and open it. It installs over the current app and your account, history and settings stay where they are.
